  • Replacing Dexter 7,000lb Axles With Timbren Axle-Less Suspension
  • We do have Timbren axles rated at 7,000lbs, however, we do not currently have 4" lift Timbren axles that are rated at 7,000lbs. If you do not need 4" lift then I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/ Brake Flange - Regular Tires - 7K # TASR7KS01. If your trailer does not have a cross member then you may need to reinforce the frame. You can do this by building out the trailer frame or by adding a 2x3" steel bar in the pre-cut 2x3" slots on the timbrens. This...

  • Measuring to Pick Out Replacement Gas Strut for Solera Awning
  • While I don't know exactly what awning gas strut replacement you'd need I can easily help you figure it out as long as the awning you have is a Solera brand awning. You will need to measure your struts when extended and retracted and we'll be able to know what you need. The part # LC260282 measures 24.38" when extended and 14.70" when retracted and the part # LC280343 measures 26.46" when extended and 15.04" when retracted.

  • Determining Correct MORryde CRE3000 Equalizer Kit For 2019 Heartland Fuel 352 5th Wheel Trailer
  • I reached out to MORryde and the MORryde Rubber Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers - 35" Wheelbase - 8K # MR27ZR you were looking at is designed for 35" axle spacing and would not work with your trailer with 36" axle spacing. My contact at MORryde did recommend that you double check your axle spacing to see if you do have 35" axle spacing. You will need to measure from the center of the front most leaf spring hanger to the center of the rear most leaf spring hanger as shown in the included...

  • Hitch Setup for Ram 3500 Longbed with a Cowtown Sleeper and Heartland Cyclone 4006 Toy Hauler
  • Since your new trailer with "tight-turn technology" will be at least as good as your old trailer for clearance, You could go with the Reese # RP34FR Sidewinder with 1621HD bolt pattern, and rated for 20,000 pounds. Any other option involves switching the in-bed 5th wheel hitch for a slider which will still not give you the room that the Sidewinder offers.

  • Could Cap of Dexter Hub # 8-219-13UC3 be Replaced with EZ Lube Cap
  • Yes, you could replace the dust cover/cap of the # 8-219-13UC3 with an EZ lube style cap and you'd basically have an EZ lube hub as that's the only difference. For that you'd only need the # rg04-120 for a pair and you'd be set.

  • Which Electric Trailer Brakes Fit a 2017 Heartland Torque T285?
  • From all of the information I can find on your 2017 Heartland Torque T285 it should have left the factory with tandem 6,000lbs axles though I recommend crawling under it and checking the axle tag on the center of the axles to confirm this as trailer manufacturers like to change parts randomly. The Dexter # 23-105-106 you were looking at would be the correct replacement for your 6,000lb axles. While you have the drums off check that there's no ridges/wear or else you'll need to also replace...

  • Replacement EZ Flex Equalizer for 2010 Heartland Cyclone 3010
  • If everything is still in good shape there's no need to replace it. The springs sometimes last a very long time. But if you wore out the rubber rin the EZ Flex it's time for a new kit as the rubber is not replaceable. Based on your trailers GVWR the correct replacement kit is the # K71-653-00 which is for 8k tandem axles.

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2020 Heartland RV Lithium Toy Hauler
  • For a toy hauler like your 2020 Heartland RV Lithium, you need to use an expandable hitch since these are not custom made. The Curt Adjustable, part # 13703, is a good choice. It expands from 22" to 72" and attaches to the frame of your toy hauler by either bolting or welding on. You need to check the width of your frame to ensure that it falls within that 22" to 72" range. It works with box frames, C-channel frames, or I-beam frames, and it gives you a 2" receiver. I've linked to a video...

  • Can Surco Ladder Install on 2018 Heartland Pioneer RP180 Travel Trailer
  • When installing a ladder on your 2018 Heartland RV the key is making sure the new ladder mounts to the RV's structural components under its outer skin. It is possible that the screw holes will not line up exactly but so long as they allow the included fasteners to reach those structural components the ladder will be able to safely support its maximum rated weight load of 275-lbs for the Surco Ladder part # SP502L. As far as mounting a portable waste tank on the roof I can't say I've had...

  • How To Choose Correct Weight Springs Bars for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution
  • The correct way to select the right Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution is based on the tongue weight of the loaded trailer plus any gear behind the rear axle in the tow vehicle. The two dot bars part # BXW4006 are rated for up to 750 lbs, the three dot bars part # BXW4007 are rated for up to 1,000 lbs and the four dot bars part # BXW4008 are rated up to 1,500 lbs. It's best to be just a bit under the weight capacity but so long as you are not exceeding this you'll be fine.

  • Recommended Weight Distribution/Sway Control for 6000 lb 2019 Heartland Sundance Travel Trailer
  • Given the weight specs you described (thanks for those, by the way!), the tongue weight of your trailer will be somewhere in the 600-1000 lb range which is absolutely perfect for the Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET. You'd mentioned that you were very concerned about trailer sway, and for good reason. Travel trailers like your Sundance are very susceptible to trailer sway caused by cross winds and turbulence from oncoming or passing traffic. The sides of a travel trailer might as well be the sail...

  • Replacing the Blackwater Waste Valve and Cable on a 2018 Heartland RV Bighorn Fifth Wheel
  • If you're looking to replace your blackwater waste valve and cable, then I recommend going with an actuated cable valve. For these, LaSalle Bristol offers two options while Valterra offers none. Which of the two Bristols you choose will depend on your current setup. The first, part # 34466N4BB72GM, has a 72" cable and a spigot to spigot connection. The second, part # 34466N4AB36GM, has a 36" cable and a spigot to hub connection. You will need to review your setup to find which connection...

  • 4 Bike Rack Recommendation for Back of 5th Wheel Camper
  • At the rear of a trailer or RV the ride quality is very rough when compared to the ride quality at the rear of a passenger vehicle. Reason being the suspension isn't as sophisticated and there is a longer distance between the rear axle and the rear of the trailer which exaggerates the movement of the trailer when hitting bumps. Because of that only a few bike racks were designed to be reinforced enough for that type of use. For a Swagman 4-bike rack that is approved for this application...

  • Replacement Dome Light for 2016 Road Warrior 420RW
  • For an RV dome light that has a built in switch we have the LED Trailer Dome Light with Switch - Surface Mount - 2,200 Lumens - White Base - Clear Lens Item # 3375625337 which would work great to replace what you have now. I suspect yours is approximately 4-1/2", this one is slightly bigger at 5-1/8" but should still work fine.

  • Best Way to Reduce Chucking Towing 2015 Heartland Big Country 3950 FB Fifth Wheel Trailer
  • The best cushioned pin box we offer to replace your Lippert 1621HD rated for 18k is the Trailair Flex Air part # LC328492 that you referenced. This is cushioned vertically and horizontally so the chucking you are experiencing will be greatly reduced. The other thing to think about is a new fifth wheel hitch with a tighter jaw setup. In nearly all cases of chucking it's actually the hitch that's causing the problem and going with a better hitch will give you the best results. For that...

  • Most Amount of Drop That Can Be Had with Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System for 2-1/2 Inch Hitch
  • The most amount of drop we offer in a weight distribution shank with 2-1/2" stinger is 9-1/4", the Curt Weight Distribution Shank part # C17132 which can be used with an Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System like part # EQ37141ET. If you need a higher capacity, the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System part # EQ64FR is available but not without the shank so you would just have to swap them out. Please note, rise/drop is measured from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver...
